Many academics who are passionate about teaching ignore their own professional needs because they are so busy supporting the learning of others. This seminar provides the opportunity for teaching staff to consider their teaching, their achievements, their future recognition. They will have the chance to reflect on their teaching achievements to date, the evidence of success that they have, and how best to present it when applying for professional recognition, promotion, or other teaching awards. As well as tips and strategies for writing, there will be writing exercises, opportunities to get feedback from the seminar leader and from one another, and improve the way they write about themselves and their career.
