UL student feedback to the INDEx (Irish National Digital Experience) survey, gathered in November 2019, made it clear that students wanted more live digital learning workshops and resources, and more emphasis on digital skills and literacies. In direct response to this need a series of live digital skills workshops was developed.
In Spring semester '21, the #Take1Step digital skills workshop series catered for this demand at UL. This series was a collaborative endeavour across UL divisions involving staff and students from the Glucksman Library (Coordinator of Spring '21 series), the Centre for Transformative Learning (CTL), and the Information Technology Division (ITD). The workshop series attracted a combined total of ~2,600 registrations, primarily UL students.

LevUL up has emerged from the #Take1Step initiative and is currently being coordinated by the Centre for Transformative Learning.
