Course Overview

This workshop provides guidance and strategies for identifying the public or patient co-researchers appropriate for your specific research project. It surveys the different domains of stakeholders and why they could be relevant to your project, then reviews strategies for identifying, approaching and engaging with them. The workshop is aimed primarily at academic and clinical faculty and researchers who need guidance on how to involve patients and other stakeholders as co-researchers; but is also relevant and accessible to health care professionals, decision-makers or anyone else requiring guidance. The ‘Introduction to PPI’ workshop, or evidence of similar introductory-level understanding of PPI, is prerequisite to taking this workshop.
