What is Risk Assessment?

A risk assessment is a careful examination of your work area and how it might cause harm to people. A Risk Assessment Form is designed to help you determine whether sufficient precautions have been taken or whether further measures are required to prevent harm.

Risk assessment aims to minimise, as far as reasonably practicable, the likelihood of injury or illness occurring in the workplace. You should identify any hazards that may be present and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place to reduce the associated risks.
