This short online course is specifically aimed at those who do not have a background in teaching, and aims to explain best practice, underpinned by research and pedagogical theory.

Format: 2nd Oct to 20th Oct Self directed learning with individual/group etivities 20th Oct: Closing webinar (12pm)

  • Introduction Unit 1: What is online learning?
  • Unit 2: The learning environment
  • Unit 3: Assessment and feedback
  • Unit 4: Academic administration

The role of teaching in a blended or online context involves a mix of planning, delivering and assessing, both in relation to what you teach, the way you teach it, and how you interact with your learners. This short online course is specifically aimed at those who do not have a background in teaching, and aims to explain best practice, underpinned by research and pedagogical theory. The entire course should take you approximately seven hours to complete.
