The launch of the HEA Race Equality Implementation Plan 2022-2024 will take place in the Herbert Park Hotel, Dublin on Thursday 8 September 10am-12pm.
Speakers at the event will include Dr Chandana Mathur (Maynooth University and member of the Intersectionality Working Group), Dr Lucy Michael (co-author of the report Race Equality in the Higher Education Sector) and Emeka Okereke (Chair of the RCSI Race Equality Forum). Dr Michael will discuss the challenges and opportunities relating to race equality in the HE sector, while Dr Mathur will outline the evolution of the Intersectionality Working Group’s work on race equality over the past three years. Finally, Mr Okereke will offer an institutional perspective, following RCSI’s publication of their Race Equality Action Plan in November 2021.
