International researchers, academics and clinicians interested in spending a period sabbatical leave in Ireland are invited to make contact with the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences, University of Limerick.

During their sabbatical at UL, visitors are considered to be visiting scholars and are able to access our excellent digital and physical resources, and our campus which bridges the River Shannon, spanning Counties Limerick and Clare.

We are home to the Departments of Psychology, Nursing and Midwifery, and Physical Education and Sport and Exercise Sciences, as well as the Schools of Medicine, Allied Health and Education, with research and academic facilities spanning both sides of the campus. To find out more about our education and health sciences research and facilities see our strategic plan.

Visiting academic positions with sabbatical package are available to a limited number of esteemed interested peers in academic and professional roles each year. Funding is also available via the Erasmus+ programme and the Fulbright awards schemes.
