Earlier this year the University of Limerick became one of four institutions worldwide that provide courses assessed to the standard for recognition by the Register of Qualified Genealogists, based on its MA History of Family offering. Each year one student from each institution is awarded a prize in recognition of achieving the top mark for their final project/thesis. We are delighted to announce that external examiner, Dr Andrew Sneddon (Ulster University) nominated Dr Mia Lee to win the award for her dissertation 'The Hidden Lives of Irish spinsters: Unmarried Women in early twentieth-century Cavan'. Her supervisor was Dr Rachel Murphy (History). Click here for further details.
