To raise awareness of, and celebrate European Day of Languages on 26th September, a Menti survey was carried out on campus over a two hour period by Dr Marie-Therese Batardiere and Dr Catherine Jeanneau  of the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics amongst students studying on a range of modules. The results, captured visually in the image below, reflect the rich linguistic diversity that is present on our campus with English, Irish Arabic, Chinese, French, German and Spanish featuring prominently alongside other languages such as Hungarian, Russian, Javanese and Berber.  To raise awareness and celebrate our increasingly linguistically diverse UL community, faculty may wish to add this visual image to their email signatures.
