This semester the Irish World Academy’s BA Contemporary Dance programme are trying a new performance project, call Micro Performances or Accidental Audience that is situated in the library. Students have been working on solos and duets taking stimulus from within the Library such as a poem by R.W. Emerson called `What is success`. They also found inspiration from artwork around the library, and questioning how to physically interact in this beautiful space, e.g. exploring the two different balcony levels, the reflection of glass, and the audience asked to take the roll of voyeur, witnessing a quiet moment of solitude.
