Former chair of the Top-Level Appointments Committee speaks to Politics & Public Administration students

The former Chair of Ireland's Top-Level Appointments Committee (TLAC) - which oversees competitions for top civil service positions - came to UL to speak to final-year students in the module on 'Careers and Influence in Public Leadership' (PA4007) on 21 November. Conor Brady, who is a journalist, former editor of The Irish Times and former Commissioner of the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission, spoke to the students and answered questions about various aspects of the civil and public service, including recruitment and promotions, drawing on his experience of serving on TLAC.
