Dr John Lombard has been appointed to the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland’s Preliminary Proceedings Committee. The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland is a public body established in law to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of patients and the public by regulating pharmacists and pharmacies in Ireland. A complaint relating to a pharmacist or pharmacy is initially reviewed by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee (PPC). The PPC will consider the complaint and make its recommendation about what should happen about the matter. Some complaints may result in a hearing before a Committee of Inquiry or be dealt with by way of mediation.
