Research Impact

Research impact can be defined as the “demonstrable contribution that excellent research makes to society and the economy” (Science Foundation Ireland).

At UL, we define research impact as research that has "an effect on, change or benefit to the economy, society, public policy or services, culture, health, the environment or quality of life’ beyond the world of academia.

UL prides itself on a reputation of excellent research that tackles grand challenges and makes a lasting impact.

Our UL Research Impact programme highlights best practice across case study development, training and skills development, and events.
