The library offers a range of services and resources to support your learning.
Librarians provide workshops throughout the semester to help you find information for your assignments, improve your searching skills, and reference your work correctly.
We provide guides and learning resources on a range of topics to help develop your information and research skills. Visit the library’s YouTube channel for videos about finding books, articles and how to use the library.
Explore our self-directed learning resources in Brightspace Discover to help you find, evaluate and use information to support your learning and coursework at UL.
Many of our workshops and learning resources help you develop transferable skills - practical abilities you can use in any module, job, or everyday life, such as working with digital tools, communicating, and thinking critically. Each relevant library workshop and learning resource is tagged with the skill(s) it builds, so you can choose the workshops and resources that match the skills you want to grow. Students can also record the skills they build towards the Recognise, Record, Reward programme. To learn more, visit the Transferable Skills Unit (TSU) website.
