In a spirited gathering of academic achievement, University of Limerick (UL) welcomed a new cohort of over 2,000 new postgraduate students to its vibrant campus this September. The ambitious new students, who were successful in their application to UL, kicked off their advanced phase in academia with a comprehensive orientation programme.

The enthusiastic students, hailing from across Ireland, Europe and beyond, are committed to pursuing advanced study in an array of disciplines at UL. The demand for postgraduate places at UL is a reflection of the University's global reputation in fostering a committed community of scholars while providing employment-led and research-driven education.

The new students participated in a comprehensive orientation programme designed to ease their transition into university life. At the in-person orientation, students were introduced to UL's state-of-the-art facilities, world-class faculty, and extensive support services, all aimed at enhancing their postgraduate experience. The students had the opportunity to engage in a lunchtime social event, aimed at fostering a sense of belonging within the UL community. These activities aimed not only to provide practical information but also to create lasting bonds among students that will enrich their academic and personal lives.

Dr Raymond Lynch, Associate Vice President at Graduate and Professional Studies, University of Limerick, expressed his congratulations and welcome to new cohort, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome these talented individuals to our campus. We're committed to providing them with a world-class education that will empower them to achieve their academic and career aspirations. Our new postgraduate students bring fresh perspectives, talents, and aspirations and will undoubtedly contribute to our community’s continued growth and success. We look forward to witnessing their achievements in the years to come.”
