Global study involving UL researchers to increase climate awareness and action

In a bid to further expand its academic offerings and cater to the evolving needs of students, faculties at University of Limerick have unveiled a selection of new and innovative postgraduate programmes for Autumn 2024. The new programmes have been launched to provide students with specialised knowledge and skills to thrive in an ever evolving world.

MSc Accounting: This programme aims to equip students with advanced accounting knowledge and practical skills to excel in the dynamic world of finance. From financial reporting to taxation and auditing, students will delve deep into various aspects of accounting, preparing them for rewarding careers in corporate finance, public accounting, or financial analysis.

MSc Energy & Energy Science: As the world shifts towards sustainable energy solutions, this programme comes at a crucial time. Students will explore renewable energy technologies, energy policy, and the environmental impacts of energy production. Graduates will be well-positioned to address the global challenges of energy sustainability and contribute to a greener future.

MA Irish & Global Conflict History: This unique programme offers a comprehensive study of Irish history within the context of global conflicts. From the Irish War of Independence to contemporary peacekeeping missions, students will analyze the impact of conflicts on Ireland and its role in international affairs. Through interdisciplinary approaches, graduates will gain valuable insights into historical narratives and conflict resolution strategies.

Optimisation of Health for Performance in Irish Dancers (Postgraduate Certificate): Targeted towards dancers and health professionals, this 1-year certificate programme focuses on enhancing the health and performance of Irish dancers. Through specialized training in biomechanics, nutrition, and injury prevention, students will learn how to optimize physical well-being and performance in this demanding art form.
