Our panel will include 

Dr Niamh Kirk, Course Director, MA Journalism
Dr, Niamh Kirk is Assistant Professor in Data Journalism and Social Media and Course Director of the MA in Journalism in the Department of Journalism, School of English, Irish and Communications at the University of Limerick Prior to this Dr. Kirk was the Microsoft Newman Fellow in Digital Policy working with the Centre for Digital Policy in University College Dublin.

For two years she worked as a postdoctoral researcher on the Horizon 2020 project Repast, investigating how European societies deal with their troubled pasts today through the analysis of conflict discourses. Dr. Kirk was awarded a PhD from the School of Communication, Dublin City University in 2019 with a thesis focused on transnational digital information flows.

Dr Elaine Walsh, Course Director, Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing and Professional Diploma in Digital Content Development
Dr Elaine Walsh is an Assistant Professor of technical communication and instructional design at University of Limerick, Ireland. With a career that started in 2003, she has developed expertise in e-learning, instructional design, university teaching, online programme delivery, curriculum design, and assessment design. Her main research areas are communication, instructional design, and assessment design.

Dr Aaron Donaghy, Co Course Director, MA Irish and Global Conflict History
Aaron Donaghy, FRHistS, is Assistant Professor of History at the University of Limerick and Director of the MA Irish & Global Conflict History program. Previously, he was EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie Global Fellow at Harvard University and Visiting Scholar at Harvard's Center for European Studies. Dr Donaghy has also held research fellowships at Cornell University, the University of Cambridge (Churchill College), and a Government of Ireland postdoctoral fellowship at University College Dublin, where he taught modern history. In 2022, he was elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in recognition of his contribution to historical scholarship.
