This microcredential is offered as an introduction to the concept of sustainability. In this week 6 course, we will explore where limits to space, infrastructure, and resources may cause challenges and how this impacts your business/organisation.

Using a series of real-world case studies, this course looks at sustainability from an environmental and social (social, cultural, and economic) point of view. Sustainability in transportation, planning, tourism, services, and resources will be explored, as well as ensuring equality as part of sustainability by taking in account gender, sexuality, race, and disability, all from a geographic perspective. Examples will be presented to help you to evaluate, establish and implement a sustainable framework into your organisation.

Lecture Hours Per Week:

  • 1-2 hour live tutorial
  • Online & recorded + 7 hours of independent study.
NOTE - This microcredential is a pathway to our Professional Diploma in Climate Adaption and Sustainability. ECTS credits awarded on this course can count towards this. Click HERE to view this Level 9 part-time online programme.
