Choose from a range of part-time professional diplomas to gain your first 30 credits at level 9. Explore your options here.

Continue

Bring your existing postgraduate credits at Level 9 from UL or other institutions and continue to build your credits until you reach a total of 60. Choose from a range of disciplines.

Complete

Once you have a total of 60 credits at Level 9 accumulated in 5 years, you can complete the final step at UL and apply for a flexible master's programme.

Your flexible master's options are the Master of Professional Practice and the MSc in Engineering Practice.

Master of Professional Practice

This is a one-year, part-time, programme where you complete your final 30 credits to build your master's degree. You can choose from your own discipline to develop even greater expertise, or you could build out your experience to become a more cross-disciplined professional.

MSc in Engineering Practice

This is a one-year, part-time programme that allows you to complete an individual but supported research thesis in the areas of Science and Engineering. On this course you can develop your problem-solving skills as well as build on your strengths from your previous qualifications.

Other Pathways

If you've completed a Micro-credential, Certificate, or Professional Diploma at UL, you may be closer to a larger qualification than you think. Many of our short courses and part-time programmes count toward higher awards, allowing you to build on existing skills and advance your learning journey.

Not ready to take on a Master's yet? Consider a MicroCred

MicroCreds, also known as Micro-credentials, are flexible courses lasting from two to twelve weeks and are often delivered online. Many of UL’s MicroCreds are part of larger awards such as Certificates and Professional Diplomas. They offer short, sharp, and focused learning opportunities, allowing you to upskill and reskill quickly.
