Biography
Prof. Jennifer NĂ Mhuircheartaigh became the inaugural Professor of Radiology at the University of Limerick in 2021. Jennifer graduated from NUI Galway in 2001 with an MB BCh BAO. She trained as a Radiology SpR in Galway University Hospitals, passing the FRCR RCSI in 2009. Following completion of her training in Ireland, she moved to Boston where she undertook radiology fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre (BIDMC) in multiple sub-specialties including abdominal imaging, body MRI, interventional radiology and musculoskeletal radiology. In 2014 she was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at BIDMC and, in 2018 Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. In 2021, she returned to Ireland and was appointed as Professor of Radiology at the University of Limerick. Her areas of interest include medical education and machine learning.Professional Experience:
