Biography

I am a general nurse, midwife and public health nurse. I was awarded a Research Training Fellowship by the Health Research Board (2013-2016) to explore the nature and impact of concealed pregnancy. I am currently the Course Director BSc Midwifery programme. My research interests lie in maternal and child health, vulnerable populations, community and primary healthcare and concealed pregnancy.

  • I am currently a member of the Community Midwifery Committee working to establish a community midwifery service at UMHL. I am a committee member of the Health Fusion Team Challenge working on inter-professional education. I was a committee member of a ULCommunity Education Group working with the Regneration Area of St Mary's Parish. The C Well Project is aimed at building capacity around health and lifeskills through education 2012-2013
