Biography
Clare Conway is an Associate Professor in Medical Education at the University of Limerick, School of Medicine. Her role involves residency / early career preparation, academic advising / student support, research, assessment and curriculum development. She also facilitates PBL groups in the pre-clinical phase of the BMBS course.Professional Experience: Clare finished her foundation medical/surgical training in Scotland in 2008 and worked for a year as an NCHD in Dublin. Having completed core specialty training in Paediatrics (Yorkshire, UK), she moved into a career in Medical Education in 2014, teaching clinical skills at the University of Leeds. Following relocation to Ireland in 2016, she worked as both a clinical skills and PBL tutor, gaining a broad range of experience in teaching, assessment, research and student support at the University of Limerick, School of Medicine. She took up her current 0.8FTE position in March 2023. Clare is a member of the Academy of Medical Educators (AOME).
