Biography
Trevor Hickey is a lecturer in teacher education, specifically Construction Technology Education, at the University of Limerick. He is currently Course Director of LM094.His areas of expertise include teacher education, construction/ architectural technology, pedagogy and health & safety in the education setting.
He is an experienced teacher at second level, with over 15 years experience teaching leaving certificate Construction Studies and 10 years experience working with the State Examinations Commission. He is the author of two Leaving Certificate Construction Studies textbooks. He has also developed a range of education resources for the Health & Safety Authority relating to the management of health and safety in the Technology classroom. A Certified Passivhaus Consultant, he has developed a series of educational resources for teaching the Passivhaus Standard in the Irish context.
