Biography
I am a postgraduate researcher in the University of Limerick. I am passionate about my interests in physical activity, well-being and both general and chronic health conditions. I am currently employed as a Research Assistant with the IMPACT (IMPlementation of osteoArthritis Clinical guidelines Together) project funded by the Health Research Board with the GLA:D (Good Life with osteoArthritis from Denmark) Ireland programme.Having worked previously with ExWell Medical and with my involvement in this Research Assistant role, it has spurred my aspirations to continue to provide and offer developments in the research of osteoarthritis and physical activity. Currently, I am researching the maintenance of behavior change in physical activity after the completion of the GLA:D Ireland programme and I aspire to offer greater insight into the possible implementation strategies of physical activity for a more viable and long-lasting approach to the management of Osteoarthritis.

Other areas of interest:
Having completed my undergraduate degree of a BSc. in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy, I also have a strong interest in Sports injuries and in Biomechanics. I carried out my undergraduate dissertation to which I received my first publication in the SURE_Journal on "The Acute effects of Talocrural MWM compared with the application of Soft-tissue of the plantarfascia on chronic Lateral Ankle Sprains for ankle Dorsiflexion R.O.M". I have attended conferences on sports injuries and sports medicine and currently apply my sports injury and management knowledge both in the physical workforce with international Basketball teams and in educational dissemination teaching the Sports Injuries module to Undergraduate students at the University of Limerick.
