Biography
My research at the Irish Centre for Composites Research (IComp) involves development of finite element tools to study the damage response of composite structures under low-velocity and high-velocity rigid- and soft-body impact, by development and implementation of interlaminar and intralaminar damge models using ABAQUS/Fortran user subroutines. The project is being carried out at the University of Limerick as one of the main computational core of the 67 million European-wide MAAXIMUS project (www.maaximus.eu) which focuses on fast simulation-based development of composite aircraft structures, funded by the European Commission and led by AIRBUS.
Though not enough time to engage in my hobbies quite similar to a lot of people's situation at this era, I am mostly into cinema, music and hiking.
