Biography

I am 16 years working in Higher Education as a lecturer and more recently in the role as Course Director International Studies. In my current role as Department International Coordinator, I am the lead for Internationalisation, contributing towards managing and further developing the internationalisation agenda within the department and faculty. This has led to successful collaborations with the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and the University of Minnesota, USA supporting the mobility of staff and student cohorts between institutions to study abroad, incorporating clinical placements. My PhD explored how nurses work within constraints in the acute care setting generating the Theory of Resigning. Research to date includes international and national involvement in projects in the areas of missed care, workload management, stroke, transcultural care, breastfeeding, culture and internationalisation.
