Dr. Andrew O'Regan
Biography
Associate Professor Andrew O'Regan is a General Practitioner in Killarney, Co. Kerry and is Senior Lecturer in General Practice in the University of Limerick School of Medicine. Before being appointed senior lecturer in 2014, he worked as a researcher, clinical skills and PBL tutor at the School of Medicine and received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2011.Associate Professor O'Regan is passionate about conducting research that will positively impact on the lives of patients. Accordingly, he has a strong interest in the area of physical activity and chronic disease, how patients engage with the health service and how primary and secondary care interface. Furthermore, he is active in medical education research, particularly in the expansion of medical education in community settings.
