Dr Amrita Ghosal is an Associate Professor B in the department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at University of Limerick, Ireland. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, India in 2015. As a part of her research activity, she has completed a total 2 months of research stay at the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa, Italy in 2012. After her Ph.D., she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, India from 2015-2017. She was a Post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Padua, Italy, where she worked in EU and Huawei funded projects from 2017 to 2021. She joined the University of Limerick as a Marie Skłodowska Curie fellow in 2021 and became Associate Professor B in 2023. Amrita's main research interests include security and privacy in cyber physical systems, smart grid, autonomous vehicle, and Industry 4.0. In this area, she published several papers in high quality peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings including IEEE COMST, COMNET, IEEE TWC, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE ICC, ICCCN, IEEE IM, ACM ICDCN. She has also filed a patent application jointly with Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. for the invention policy-based automotive secure over-the-air software update technique. She is a recipient of 2 Best Paper Awards in reputed conferences, ICA3PP and IEEE Wireless ViTAE. She served as a technical program committee member for IEEE ICOIN 2018-24, AIoTS 2020-23 (Co-located with ACNS), and ICICS 2022.
