• I am Lecturer in Midwifery, Dept of Nursing & Midwifery, University of Limerick
• I am a member of the Women & Child Health Research Group, Dept of Nursing & Midwifery and the Health Research Institute, UL.
• My research interests lie primarily in the arena of maternal and child health.  I am particularly interested in vulnerable populations and sensitive research. My doctoral research explored the phenomenon of concealed pregnancy. I have redefined concealed pregnancy and developed a framework for practitioners in order to guide practice and care for women who have been through this experience.
• Current Research Projects: I am currently in the dissemination phase of my HRB funded doctoral research which is entitled Regaining Agency & Autonomy A Grounded Typology of Concealed Pregnancy.
