Academy for Children

In line with the University’s commitment to access and widening the participation of underrepresented groups at third level, the Access Office has established an Academy for Children. The goal of the Academy is to encourage and support primary school children in local DEIS designated schools to reach their full potential and begin their journey onto higher education. 

The ethos of the Academy is based on a firm belief in partnership and in keeping children at the heart of the decision making process. The role of the Academy is to open doors and expand horizons, to introduce the University to those who do not know it and to inspire future graduates.
