UL Alumni welcomed back almost 400 graduates to campus on 17 September for their Class Reunions.

Alumni enjoyed walking tours of the campus, followed by a barbeque and entertainment in The Stables Club. Also, as part of the occasion, those graduates celebrating their 35-, 40- and 45-year reunions were welcomed to a reception in Plassey House by UL Alumni Executive Director Majella O’Connell, hosted by the Office of the President, with the UL Provost and Deputy President Professor Shane Kilcommins representing Professor Kerstin Mey.

Graduates reconnected and reminisced, celebrated 50 years of UL and heard about new developments and future plans for the University. It was also Majella’s final public event in her role, ahead of her departure from the campus on 30th September. Majella has served her alma mater for over 26 years and has been the welcoming face of UL Alumni to so many graduates. It has been a pleasure to work with her on alumni initiatives over the years.
