The New Library Makerspace is Open

On a recent visit to the Makerspace, University of Limerick President, Professor Kerstin Mey said; “The new Makerspace at the Glucksman library is such a welcome addition to the suite of learning spaces that University of Limerick students and staff now have access to on campus. This is another exemplar of where our student-centred focus allows for a broadening of creativity and collaborations. Furthermore, this space will allow for the practice of learning by doing become part of the wider aspects of knowledge exchange and engaged research. My congratulations to all at the Glucksman Library who have brought the Makerspace to life and I look forward to seeing the many creations that emerge as I encourage you all to create, innovate, and experiment with the wide range of emerging technologies available there”.

The Makerspace is located in GL1-035 – first floor of the new library building and is Free to use. The space is open for drop-ins: Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm to 5:00pm.  Contact us to arrange an appointment outside of these hours.
