The Glucksman Library welcomes all new and returning students. To help you settle in and find your way around we have student peer advisors working at the library entrance, they will guide you to whatever service you need. They will also provide library tours for students.

Every UL student is automatically a member of the library. Your student ID card is your membership card so bring it with you when coming to the library; you use it to swipe in, to borrow a laptop, to print and to borrow/return books.

Students can reserve a group study room in the library and avail of any of the tech rich spaces that are part of the Library’s Digital Edge area. Included in this area are the Makerspace which offers 3D printing, a Greenscreen Lab and Media Production Labs - all will be coming on-stream soon. Students will also be able to borrow technology equipment for free, from the Makerspace.

In addition to being able to borrow print books, you have access to 450,000+ electronic books and 60,000 academic journals via the library website, 24 hours a day online and can get the licence for EndNote academic referencing software in the library.

There are many ways to contact the library, and one popular way is the library’s live chat service where you can connect to a member of our team on weekdays from 9am to 9pm and on Saturdays 10am to 4:30pm. You can also consult our Frequently Asked Questions if you have a query you need help with.

Librarians offer digital information literacy classes throughout the semester and you can reserve a space at any of these by visiting the Library Events calendar.

The library staff are looking forward to welcoming you, and we are open from 7am to midnight on weekdays and also open every weekend in the semester.
