  1. Go to the HEAnet store
  2. Select the University of Limerick as your home organisation from the dropdown menu
  3. Log in with your University of Limerick account username and password
  4. Scroll to the listings for Dell devices or type Dell in the search bar at the top of the page
  5. If you already have a Dell Premier Student Account click the redeem button beside any Dell listing. If you do not already have a Dell Premier Student Accoun email brokerage@heanet.ie using your UL email address and request a new account to be set up.
  6. Once you have access to your Dell Premier Student Account click Standard Configurations to see the available offersPrices listed include discount but exclude VAT – VAT is added at Checkout
  7. Choose your preferred device

UL has reviewed applications that students might need to run on their devices, and we have identified the following categories and suggested devices. While the buying decision rests solely with the student, we would ask students to please be aware of these device specifications when purchasing a device, off-the-shelf devices come with much lower specs and have a very limited hardware warranty. Also, these are only guidelines and certain Schools/Department may have specific IT requirements. 

Category A

  • A entry spec device which is capable of running Windows 11 and standard MS Office software. Must include a microphone and camera.
  • Suggested spec – 14”, i5 Processor with Integrated Intel Integrated Graphics, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 5 Years NBD Pro Support.
  • Suggested device from Dell - Latitude 5440 14”, i5 13th Gen Processor with Intel Integrated Graphics, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 5 Years NBD Pro Support.

Category B

  • A medium spec device which is capable of running Windows 11, and standard MS Office software. Must include a microphone and camera.
  • Suggested spec - 14”, i5 Processor with Intel Integrated Graphics, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 5 Years NBD Pro Support.
  • Suggested device from Dell - Latitude 5440 14”, i5 13th Gen Processor with Intel Integrated Graphics, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 5 Years NBD Pro Support.

Category C

  • A high spec device capable of running Windows 11, standard MS Office software and specialised software. Must include a microphone and camera.
  • (If your course has extensive computing or scientific requirements, please contact your course director for guidance on recommended specs and devices.)
  • One possible option (but please confirm the spec with your course director before placing the order): Precision 3581 with i7 13th Gen Processor, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD and NVIDIA RTX A500 graphics and 5 Years NBD Pro Support.
