Kemmy Business School at University of Limerick has enhanced its executive education portfolio with the addition of a  Doctor of Business Administration (Executive DBA). 

The Executive DBA in Leadership, Sustainability and Systemic Transformation is a pioneering doctoral programme designed for senior leaders who want to tackle complex global challenges through systems thinking and sustainability.  

From its structure to its delivery, the programme is intentionally designed around the needs of working executives. It enables professionals to critically examine their leadership practice, organisational challenges, and strategic decision-making through applied research, while continuing to work full-time. 

Participants will explore how to lead, enquire and transform at the highest level.  

Delivered through a flexible, part-time format, the Executive DBA allows participants to pursue doctoral study without stepping away from their careers. The programme blends academic theory with professional practice, supporting participants to translate research into strategic outcomes for their organisations. 

A key feature of the DBA is its emphasis on applied research. Rather than focusing solely on theoretical advancement, participants undertake research that addresses pressing challenges within their own professional environments, from leadership effectiveness and organisational change to innovation strategy and sustainable business practices. 

The programme is delivered by UL’s Kemmy Business School, a worldwide top 1% business school, whose research and industry engagement span leadership, management, and organisational development.
