At the heart of the UL Centre for the Study of Hate is our CSH Global Visitors Programme. This programme brings people working against hate in the academy, practice, and policy, to the University of Limerick for mutual learning opportunities. There are three types of CSH Global Visitors: CSH Global Scholars; CSH Global Fellows; and CSH Global Studentships:
CSH Global Scholars
CSH Global Scholars are typically faculty members from outside Ireland who spend up to four weeks in residence at the UL Centre for the Study of Hate working with a faculty member in developing a scholarly research output. Our Global Scholars are also expected to deliver a graduate student seminar (recorded for uploading on our website), and engage in cognate research activities with faculty members, such as those set out below. Following the completion of the residency, it is expected that a co-authored publication will be at a developed stage, with the aim of submission to a high profile peer reviewed journal within six months of the completion of the visit.

There is limited funding available to support the visits of CSH Global Scholars, and those applicants from the Global South will be given priority. Scholars who are self-funded, or can secure funding through the Erasmus programme are particularly welcome. CSH Global Fellows
In 2024, the UL Centre for the Study of Hate introduced a new programme, the CSH Global Fellows programme. CSH Global Fellows will typically work in civil society, or be on secondment from a government department. They will engage with the CSH on policy issues of mutual interest, and utilise facilities in the Lab to support their work to produce evidence-based policy recommendations. At the end of their time, CSH Global Fellows can expect to have co-produced a CSH Research for Action Report with a CSH faculty member. The CSH is particularly interested in hosting Human Rights Defenders as CSH Global Fellows.

Other Fellowship Activities
Visitors on the CSH Global Visitors Programme may additionally engage in one or more of the following activities:
- Deliver a seminar to undergraduate students, and/or a masterclass to graduate students;
- Record a lecture in the UL studio to be uploaded to the Centre website;
- Participate in a podcast with a UL CSH member;
- Present their work at an CSH lunchtime seminar;
- Write a short account of their time at UL for including in the Centre Blog and Newsletter.

CSH Global Studentships
The CSH is proud to host host students and doctoral researchers who wish to spend time to develop research skills with faculty members. This may be as part of their undergraduate or postgraduate educational programme, as an Erasmus scholar, or through an internship. Previous CSH Global Interns have included:

- Siobhan Quigg, which resulted in the generation of a range of research reports used to support the work of the Hate Crime in Northern Ireland
- Josie Bauman, of Dalhousie University, who supported the development of the ECSH during the Covid pandemic
