Demonstrating we have listened 

The challenge when asking students for feedback is how we make it clear that student feedback is valued and considered and how we help students to understand how their feedback will benefit the wider student community. One way is to firstly as a practitioner accept that from time-to-time students may not appreciate everything you are trying to do. Similarly, not everything we try in teaching always works or has the desired positive impact upon learning we may have envisaged when planning it.

The following three stage path may help you in the initial stages of demonstrating you have listened to your students:
