The programme is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) to ensure international professional recognition. The student graduating with the highest marks each year is awarded a medal and prize by Merck Sharp & Dohme Ltd. 

During this programme, you will

  • Gain laboratory training on the practical aspects of processing operations.
  • Learn how to design a chemical process with the knowledge of using common industrial software packages and the ability to define problems and identify constraints in design work.
  • Develop an understanding of safety, process control and process modelling in chemical and biochemical processing systems.
  • Gain expertise in the use of industry-standard chemical engineering design and simulation software packages.
