Behind every statistic is a story and it is important we share our stories.
Our Gender Equality story goes back to when UL was announced as one of the first Irish institutions to achieve the Athena SWAN Bronze award in July 2015. While awards have followed our focus has evolved as we address gender equality more broadly, in arts, humanities, social sciences, business and law (AHSSBL), and in professional and support roles, and for trans staff and students.
Our focus therefore is not just about the Gender Pay Gap or a narrow view of one gender but promotes equality, diversity and inclusion across all disciplines and gender identities.
