One source of funding for the Educational Assistive Technology Centre (EATC) is the Fund for Students with Disabilities (FSD).

The purpose of the FSD is to help higher education institutions provide the necessary assistance and equipment to students with disabilities to enable them to fully participate in and successfully complete their studies.

The fund helps us to provide assistive technology, student training, Irish Sign Language interpreters, academic support, and other services to students with disabilities in the University.

The FSD cannot provide medical equipment, staff training and development, mileage or accommodation costs for assistants, and a limited range of other items.

You can read more about the FSD on the Higher Education Authority’s website.
