The University of Limerick (UL) and the Kemmy Business School (KBS) are honoured to announce that they will host the International Conference on CSR, Sustainability, Ethics, and Governance from June 17th to 19th, 2026, in conjunction with the Global Corporate Governance Institute (GCGI), welcoming an international audience of academics, industry experts, policymakers, and emerging leaders to the city of Limerick.
The announcement was made by Professor Antoinette Flynn of the Department of Accounting and Finance at the 2025 edition of the conference in Lisbon, Portugal. Speaking to a global audience, Professor Flynn extended a warm Irish welcome—“Céad Míle Fáilte”—and an open invitation to join the 2026 event on UL’s scenic riverside campus.
“At the University of Limerick, sustainability is not just a concept—it is a commitment woven into the very fabric of our campus, our teaching, our research, and our community engagement,” said Professor Flynn. “We are proud to bring this global conversation on responsible business to Ireland, and particularly to our dynamic and forward-thinking institution.”
The 2026 conference will reflect the core values of the Kemmy Business School, which has long positioned itself as a leader in ethical and sustainable business education. Since 2008, KBS has been a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and a founding member of the PRME UK & Ireland Chapter. The School also plays a leading role in the PRME Champions Initiative, advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals through academic excellence and stakeholder collaboration.
The Department of Accounting and Finance at KBS, which will serve as a key host of the conference, is known for its robust portfolio of research and teaching in areas such as financial governance, sustainability accounting, business ethics, and EU-funded interdisciplinary projects addressing real-world challenges.
In addition to academic exchange, delegates will have the opportunity to explore the wider region’s commitment to sustainable development. The neighbouring County Clare has been recognised as Ireland’s first county-wide sustainable tourism destination, offering visitors a unique blend of ecological awareness, cultural heritage, and natural beauty.
The conference theme will focus on embracing the future and advancing actionable strategies for sustainable and ethical business practice in a complex global environment. A call for abstracts and registration information will be released in the coming months via the conference portal at ul.ie/business.
