Since 2006, Alumni Awards have been presented to UL's most accomplished, innovative, inspiring, creative and influential alumni. 

We are now seeking nominations for our 2024 UL Alumni Awards which will take place in November of this year. The closing date for receipt of nominations is Friday 10 May 2024

Please note the following:

  • Those nominated for awards must be graduates of UL, while nominations can be made by anyone
  • All nominations must be received in writing using the official Nomination Forms only
  • Nominations will be considered by a Selection Committee and will be based solely on the information provided on this Nomination Form which should be completed as fully as possible
  • Please do not include links in your nomination as the selection committee will not be online when considering the nominations, instead please insert/copy and paste all supporting materials to this form
  • Receipt of all nominations will be acknowledged
  • Due to the volume of nominations and to preserve the integrity of the selection process, no further communication beyond acknowledgement is possible
  • All nominations will be considered by the Selection Committee for three consecutive years
  • Successful nominations will be notified with communication sent directly to both the Nominee and the person who nominated
  • Should your nominee be selected to receive an Alumni Award they will be informed that you nominated them
  • Graduates of the University of Limerick.
  • Graduates of the National Institute of Higher Education, Limerick.
  • Graduates who received an NUI award but studied at the University of Limerick for a period of  time as part of the programme of study for which the award was granted by the NUI.
  • Graduates of Thomond College of Education.
  • Graduates of the National College of Physical Education.
  • Graduates of MIC who receive University of Limerick awards.
  • Graduates of St. Patrick's College, Thurles who receive University of Limerick awards.
  • Graduates with an award arising from an * accredited programme, and any others having been granted an Honorary Degree therefrom.

 

Note: an * Accredited Programme means (i) a programme of study which has been accredited by the National Council for Educational Awards (NCEA), Dublin, in accordance with their procedures or (ii) in respect of some graduates conferred at the National Institute for Higher Education, Limerick, in 1977, a programme of study accredited by the National University of Ireland (NUI), or (iii) the University of Limerick or any other statutory appointed Authority having jurisdiction to confer awards on any persons who successfully completed accredited programmes of study at the educational institutions herein noted in this and the foregoing paragraph.
