What is Biomedical Engineering?

Biomedical Engineering combines engineering, biology and medicine to improve human health through technology and innovation. This programme equips students with the engineering skills needed to design, develop and improve medical devices, diagnostics and health technologies. Through hands-on projects and industry engagement, students gain the skills to create medical devices and technologies that improve diagnosis, treatment and patient care. Graduates gain practical design and problem-solving skills that prepare them to address real-world healthcare challenges and contribute to Ireland's thriving MedTech industry.
