Perioperative nursing involves providing personalised person-centred care to patients within the highly technical perioperative setting.   

This 12-week, Level 9 micro-credential is for registered nurses working in a perioperative theatre environment who want to enhance their expertise. 

You will learn the principles of caring for patients in the pre-, intra-, and postoperative settings while promoting safety, comfort, and dignity at every stage.  

Additionally, you will gain insight into the complexity of the perioperative environment, including teamworking and managing risk to deliver high-quality care. 

This module is associated with Nursing (Peri-Operative Care) - MSc. It can be taken as a standalone micro-credential or as part of a pathway to a larger award.
