Healthcare professionals are caring for increasingly diverse populations. This twelve week, Level 9, micro-credential is designed for healthcare professionals who want to build the knowledge, skills and awareness needed to provide culturally competent care.
You’ll explore how culture, ethnicity, language and migration shape people’s health beliefs, behaviours and access to care. The module introduces models of cultural competence and encourages you to reflect on your own cultural identity, assumptions and communication style.
You’ll also examine how policies, systems and inequalities affect intercultural healthcare and learn how to work more confidently and respectfully with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
