This one-year full-time or two-year part-time Master of Arts in Public History and Cultural Heritage equips you with the skills to apply history in real-world settings. You’ll explore how history is presented, interpreted, and preserved in public spaces and institutions.
Through a mix of academic and practice-based modules, students will gain experience in digital history, cultural heritage, and historical research.
The programme is designed for recent graduates and professionals working in the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums), or in community history and heritage projects.
The blended delivery format is ideal for students who cannot attend campus regularly, particularly international students interested in Irish public history and heritage. While not required, some choose to visit Ireland for research or placement opportunities.
