Do you want to inspire future generations by creating immersive classroom experiences? UL’s Professional Master of Education programme empowers you to deliver learning that makes a real impact.
On the programme, you will understand the tools and classroom experience you need to be a confident educator.
You will also consider what it means to be a great teacher today, with a focus on research skills, using new technology, and delivering the right learning for everyone.
You have the option to pursue teaching qualifications in the following disciplines:
- Business (Accounting, Business, Economics)
- Languages (French, German, Irish, Japanese, Spanish, English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Mathematics
- Music
- Physical Education
- Science (Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Technological Education (Engineering, Technology, Construction Studies, Design and Communication Graphics)
Students are encouraged to specialise in two subject areas where their Level 8 qualifications allow. Please contact any of the Pathway Leaders if you have a question about your suitability.
Those studying on the Languages pathway (French, German, Irish, Japanese, and Spanish) with credits in only one language must take English as a Second Language (ESL). ESL is not available with a non-language discipline.
Those students studying on the Technological Education pathways must have the required credits in Design and Communication Graphics (DCG) plus one other subject.
This programme includes in-person teaching placements to ensure you are ready to start teaching as soon as you are qualified.
