Through a blend of academic modules and supervised clinical practice, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and their families. 

This programme supports you to advance your careers towards specialist and advanced nursing posts. 

During this programme, you will

• Explore how palliative nursing care can underpin practice in areas such as disease and symptom management, communication, grief and loss, spirituality and sexuality - enhancing the ability to deliver holistic, person-centred care
• Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of therapeutic interventions used in palliative nursing care
• Understand the value of multidisciplinary collaboration, working alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to the palliative care needs of patients and their families
• Undertake 500 hours of supervised clinical practice, applying learning in practice settings and developing specialist palliative nursing care competencies under expert guidance
