UL’s Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematical Modelling offers advanced training in applied mathematics, focusing on the formulation and solution of models, particularly differential equations, that describe real-world systems.  

The programme is closely aligned with MACSI, Ireland’s leading research group in industrial applied mathematics, providing students with hands-on experience solving practical problems from industry, healthcare, and the sciences. 

This programme is ideal for graduates in mathematics, physics, engineering, or related fields who want to specialise in mathematical modelling  or pivot toward applied research. It prepares students for careers in data science, finance, industry, and doctoral study.
