Build the skills in economics you need to pursue a career in the public sector, private sector with UL’s one-year full-time or two-year part-time Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Public Policy.
This programme is designed for those who may not already have a background in economics, making it an accessible entry point into the field. It also meets the Teaching Council’s requirements for teaching Economics at secondary level.
You will gain expertise in areas such as public policy analysis, global economic policy, decision-making, data analysis, and applied economics.
Unlike traditional economics programmes, this diploma emphasises real-world applications from the very start.
Developed with input from university faculty, government and non-government experts, and industry partners, the programme also features guest lectures from leaders in policymaking and business.
Graduates can use this diploma as a standalone qualification or as a pathway to UL’s MSc in Economics and Policy Analysis or the Master of Professional Practice.
